Moments - Erik Tjahja |
Ok, the angle of the camera isn't the most inspiring as you see a lot of the side of the piano. Anyway, if I got time, i might retake this video. This piece is best listen when you are in a melancholy mood :D. I made a special arrangement of this piece for piano and clarinet in Bb, which dedicated specially for my friend, Makiko.
Tips to practice this piece:
1. Practice the RH melody first. It is important to feel the whole phrase of the melody and make it singingful.
2. LH accompaniment is quite simple here, but if you are not use to jump, then you need to practice the jump specifically. After a few repetitions, your body will remember the movement.
3. Eye coordination. It is impossible to always look at both of your hands at the same time. The RH melody in this piece do not require you to jump around, so focus your attention on your LH.
4. Slow and steady, this is not a virtuosic piece like those by Franz Liszt, practice slowly and steadily. Feel the pace and you are good to go.
